The LUOWEI 0.05mm Super Fine Cutting Wire is a precision tool specifically engineered for the delicate task of separating LCD/OLED displays from glass lenses. In the world of screen refurbishment, the 0.05mm gauge is often considered the “sweet spot” for balancing high tensile strength with a profile thin enough to glide through tight gaps without damaging the polarizing film.
High Tensile Strength: Despite its microscopic diameter, the wire is made of specialized alloy steel to prevent frequent snapping during high-heat separation.
Surface Finish: Features a smooth, polished surface to minimize friction and prevent “dragging” on the internal components of the screen.
Compatibility: Ideal for modern curved screens (Samsung Edge series) and flat OLED panels (iPhone/Pixel) where clearance is minimal.
| Feature | Specification Details |
| Brand | LUOWEI |
| Product Type | LCD Screen Separation Cutting Wire |
| Diameter | 0.05mm (Super Fine) |
| Material | High-Carbon Alloy Steel / Tungsten Steel |
| Length Options | Typically 100m / 150m (standard spools) |
| Hardness | High Rigidity (Resistant to deformation) |
| Compatibility | LCD, OLED, AMOLED, Curved Screens |
| Application | Professional Phone Repair / Glass Lens Separation |
Temperature Control: Ensure your vacuum separator is set between 85°C and 95°C. If the wire feels like it’s “tugging,” the adhesive hasn’t softened enough.
The Angle: Keep the wire as flat as possible against the heating plate. If you tilt the wire upward, you risk cutting into the polarizer or the display itself.
Zig-Zag Motion: Use a gentle “sawing” motion rather than a straight pull to reduce the physical stress on both the wire and the display panel.
Pro Tip: While 0.05mm is excellent for general use, if you are working on a display with zero-gap lamination, some technicians step down to 0.03mm, though those snap much more easily.
